Women in the district gather up in a house every day and roll up their sleeves to make pastry bread before the feast.
The women, who cut the dough they knead by adding water, salt and yeast into small pieces, bake the bread they open with the help of a rolling pin in the quarry.
The breaded bread made by the women is consumed at the festive tables.
Fatma Başar Aslan, a housewife from the inhabitants of Özerli Mahallesi, told the AA reporter that by making bread, they both crowned the sacrificial tables and continued an old tradition.
Explaining that they are preparing bread for many families in the neighborhood close to imece style feast, Aslan said, “We make the local flavor for Eid al-Adha, it is difficult to make, but adds flavor to the festive tables. It is also important that it is stored for a long time. . ” said.
