WhatsApp will stop working from the 1st on all Android and iOS

Let there are currently on the market and there are a lot of different different services for communication for every taste and color, including Skype, Telegram, Viber, ICQ, WeChat and many others, but of course the most famous and popular among all existing ones is WhatsApp, which enjoys incredibly great popularity around the globe. This software is currently used by over 2 billion people from various countries, and they all find this software extremely convenient, because otherwise no one would simply use it. Using this messenger, you can send text voice calls, exchange media files, make voice calls, make video calls, and also perform a host of other actions.

However, very soon many people, approximately 300 million people, will lose access to the most popular communication service in the world, because it will be completely impossible for them to use any means. Of course, there is nothing good in this, but such measures are forced, that is, developers are going to intentionally deprive all these people of access to this software. As everyone probably knows well, starting from February 1, 2020, using WhatsApp became impossible on any smartphone models running all of the legacy operating systems, which are Android 2.3.7 and iOS 8, as well as any older platforms.

These OSs contain a lot of well-known gaps, using which third parties can easily hack, because information about many vulnerabilities is freely available to anyone. That is why, in order not to endanger the security of user information, it was decided to abandon the support of old operating systems. However, this is not all. As AKKet.com found out, from February 1, 2021, that is, in less than one year, it will become impossible to use WhatsApp even on more modern models of mobile devices running Android 4.0.3 and iOS 9, as well as any older operating systems. All such users will have to upgrade the OS to a newer one, or if this is not possible, they will have to buy a new phone.

From that moment, the minimum versions of operating systems for launching the messenger will be Android 5.0 Lollipop and iOS 10, while this platform will not be guaranteed to work on any older ones, and this of course must be taken into account. The developers themselves, the creators of the communication service, will inform about such innovations this summer, that is, about six months before the innovations take effect. Such measures should increase the security of the entire service, making it more protected from various hacker attacks. In addition, which is obvious, due to the rejection of support for obsolete OSs, it will be possible to significantly reduce the time for developing new functions for the service, since they will not have to be adapted for outdated models of mobile devices.

Earlier it became known that the WhatsApp messenger received the most anticipated feature of all.

Until May 10, everyone can get a sports bracelet for free Xiaomi Mi Band 4, spending only 2 minutes on it.
