The messenger service WhatsApp operated by Facebook has received an update. With version 2.21.71, all users now receive an improved image and video preview. Previously this was limited to a square, now the preview adapts to the format of the image or video. In addition, the self-deleting messages can now also be used in group chats. Admins can, however, use the setting “Edit group info” to specify that only they themselves have the opportunity to use this feature.
The latest update is now available free of charge from the Apple Store. Android users already received version 2.21.7.14 on April 13, 2021. However, this only provides for error corrections and improved stability. The last major WhatsApp update was responsible for being able to remove the audio track when sharing videos, among other things.
