WhatsApp comes with a special holiday mode, which finally introduces the feature that fans have been asking for, even outside of holidays.
In recent years, chat apps such as Telegram and Messenger have rapidly added new features, while WhatsApp has largely remained the same. Fortunately, Facebook is busy catching up.
WhatsApp introduces vacation mode

That can be very handy, but sometimes you use the archive function mainly to get rid of a chat. The holiday mode will ensure that such chats simply remain in your list of archived conversations. Even if that chat becomes active again.
The name hints at the purpose of this change: getting users to create a break from WhatsApp, for example when you are on vacation. Stop being bothered by all the chats you’ve archived for a while.
