Newly Released Epstein Emails Reveal Exchange with Peter Mandelson,Reference to Trump White House
Recently unsealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes contain a November 6,2016,email exchange between the disgraced financier and Lord Peter Mandelson, then a UK peer, that references the upcoming US presidential election and a prior discussion about Prince Andrew. The emails surfaced as part of a broader release of documents stemming from a lawsuit against Epstein’s estate.
The exchange occurred shortly after Mandelson’s birthday. Epstein wrote to Mandelson, “63 years old. You made it.” Mandelson replied less than 90 minutes later, stating, “Just. I have decided to extend my life by spending more of it in the US.” Epstein then responded,”in the Donald White House,” alluding to the US presidential election scheduled for later that week.
The email chain also included a comment from Epstein regarding Prince Andrew and Mandelson’s husband, Reinaldo Avilda da Silva. Epstein wrote, “you were right about staying away from Andrew. I was right in your staying with Rinaldo.”
Mandelson, who was previously sacked as the UK’s ambassador to the US over his links to Epstein, has repeatedly expressed regret for his relationship with the convicted sex offender. He declined to comment on the specific emails when approached by the BBC.
the newly released documents also detail a 2001 introduction by Epstein of a woman - whose name is redacted – to Prince Andrew at Maxwell’s house in London, with the right of reply stating the woman had sex with Andrew ther. Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing and has not faced criminal charges.
Annie Farmer, an Epstein accuser and witness in the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, released a statement following the document release, calling for the ”full release” of the Epstein files and clarity for the estimated one thousand women and girls harmed by Epstein and his associates.
