Conferences, concerts, meetings, presentations. And, above all, the magic of Christmas that is approaching. The weekend, as always, full of events awaits the Friulians. A last weekend dedicated to shopping, given the concomitance with the Black Fridaybut also (and above all we add) with the recurrence of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In fact, there are many events designed by municipal administrations or local associations to say, once again, “no to violence against women”. But another day to mark on the calendar, this time the 26th, dedicated to a disease that affects 300,000 cases in Italy and to which the utmost attention must be paid. Let’s talk about Parkinsons and to remember the sick and their families, Udine will also do its part with a conference attended by specialists and health professionals.
Returning to the Christmas atmosphere, it is impossible not to mention the quintessential fair dedicated to this period. Friday 25, in fact, opens in the exhibition center of Udine and Gorizia Fiere in Martignacco “IdeaChristmas”. And, to stay on the subject of festivities, even if not directly connected with Christmas, the stalls of Saint Catherinethe eagerly awaited and historic appointment which for Udinese and Friulians marks the real countdown towards the end-of-year festivities.
The music
Great events then await the Udinese, but not only, for this weekend. Tony Hadleythe former Spandau Ballet has in fact decided to celebrate its 40-year career in Udine with a great concert to be held on Sunday at the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine. And it is still the city’s “theater” that will host, this time on Saturday, the concert of “Only Europe!”, the minority language arts festival.
Finally, young protagonists in Fagagna for another appointment organized by SimulArte within the project “Music for all”. In the Vittoria room this time the young and talented pianist will be a guest Alessandro Del Gobbo
Festivals and tastings
Scrolling through the usual weekly appointment on what to do over the weekend in Udine and its surroundings, there is no shortage of opportunities to party. It happens for example a Venzone with the return of the famous “Purcit in staiare”, but also a Paulalso committed to “sanctifying” the pig and all the gastronomic delicacies associated with it. Party also in Torsa di sweating where the Alpini celebrate the 55th year since the foundation of the local group. Finally, the day is entirely dedicated to wine organized for Sunday in the suggestive location of the Canussio castle in Cividale del Friuli for “Goblets of history”.
Dating and art
There is no shortage on the weekend dating. Like the one organized at the Abbey of Rosazzo where the book will be presented “The Silk Wind” by the writer-traveler Daniele Ventola. Dedicated to Pasolini and Turoldo then it is the documentary film that will be presented on Saturday in Sedegliano with the musical introduction by Domenico Clapasson.
For all art lovers, then, not to be missed, in addition to the many exhibits in progress, the two appointments dedicated to Antonio Canova on the bicentenary of the great sculptor’s death. Of industrial archeology, but above all of the future, we talk at Villa Chiozza di Cervignano of the famous Amideria Chiozza.
