The 59th presidential inauguration will be virtual, to a large extent, but will feature a series of ceremonial events and celebrations. This is what is going to happen and we explain how to watch it from home.
The events of the day
Coverage will begin at around 10:00 am ET, with the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for later that morning on the west front of the Capitol in Washington. First, Kamala Harris She will be sworn in as Vice President by Judge Sonia Sotomayor. Then, Joseph Biden will be sworn in as president by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. at 12:00 p. m.
