The Cathedral of Sevilla It is built on what in the 12th century was the Great Mosque, of which the minaret is still preserved, known today as Giralda for the weather vane that finishes it off, the courtyard of Ablutions and the Puerta del Perdón. It became a Christian temple in 1248, after the conquest of the city by Fernando III. In the building, which has five naves, we can appreciate elements of the Mudejar, the Gothic, the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Neoclassical.
