New York City hopes to reopen its spas, waxing, nail, tanning, tattoo and piercing salons the next july 6, after having reduced by 6,000 cases of COVID-19 in a period of almost three months.
By April 6, the city detected the highest number of cases in one day: 6,376. The figure was reduced to 93 cases detected on June 30, according to official data from New York City.
The curve of infections, hospitalizations and deaths has decreased during the same period.
For example, on April 7, New York City recorded 598 deaths from Coronavirus Disease 2019">COVID-19 in one day, a figure that was reduced to 5 deaths registered on June 25.
Since June 1, the contagion curve remains below 1,000 cases a day and continues to decrease.

Screening tests are free in New York City, and you don’t need health insurance to get them.
Likewise, the City clarifies that “no person who wants to access the test will be asked about immigration status”.
The City requests repeat tests in case you have symptoms, or have had exposure to someone who is ill.
As the curve for positive cases has decreased, the curve for tests performed shows an increase.
Of 12,101 tests administered on April 6, the city had 35,472 tests on June 15, an increase of almost 300.
For its part, the tests continue to be administered, already in smaller quantities. The latest available figure indicates that more than 13,000 tests were administered on June 29.
Measurements
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the local government Has delivered more than 80 million pieces of Personal Protective Equipment, almost 10 for each inhabitant.
