What does Dacia Logan, which sells in Turkey, look like and what is it called?

In Turkey, the Dacia Logan is sold with a completely changed look and a name that does not even give any indication of the real origins of the sedan.

Renault takes advantage of the fact that its logo is better known in Turkey than the Dacia emblem and sells there the Logan sedan called Renault. But “Logan” is not found in the full name of the car either. Turkish customers do not buy a Dacia Logan, but a Renault Taliant, which is, although it does not seem, the same car.

Taliant replaces in the Renault range the old Symbol, which he sold as a second-generation version of the Clio. Taliant, on the other hand, takes over the technical solutions from Logan.

What is different about Dacia Logan / Renault Taliant in Turkey?

For a start, the look of the model being sold in Turkey has changed radically. The car aligns with the typical Renault design. Its headlights mimic those of the French manufacturer’s models. The taillights don’t look like the ones we know from the third generation Dacia Logan. In the case of Taliant, they are elongated and extend to the boot lid. (see PHOTO GALLERY).

The grid seems to have been taken from Clio. Taliant’s rims are not in the Logan range either. Images from the model’s cabin have not yet appeared, but we can expect a layout similar to what we saw in the new Logan.

Renault keeps the mystery about the engine range. But that’s also where the engines under Logan’s hood could end up, including LPG propulsion systems. There is little chance that customers will be able to order Taliant with a diesel engine, since 1.5 dCi has also disappeared from the Logan range.

Most likely, Taliant will also receive the CVT transmission, which has reached the range of the Romanian sedan.

Renault Taliant will arrive with the same name and the same look on the markets in South America and South Africa.
