Pangandaran News, (harapanrakyat.com), – West Java Deputy Governor H Uu Ruhzanul Ulum appealed to residents not to sell rice fields and to convert land into buildings. This is because West Java is the second largest national rice contributor.

According to Uu, the supply of rice from West Java was previously ranked second nationally, but currently it has decreased so that it occupies the third position.

“That’s why we invite farmers not to sell their fields and not to convert them into buildings. Because, we are currently experiencing a decline of up to 500 tons per year, “he said, Friday (9/4/2021).

He said that the decline was due to the large number of productive lands that had changed their function. His party will continue to strive so that public awareness can agree with the government.

Therefore, said Uu, no matter how great a government program is, if the people themselves do not have the awareness of it, it will not be as successful as expected.

“Remember, we all eat from agriculture and the community does too. That’s why if we support each other together, we can make West Java a champion both physically and physically, “he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Pangandaran, H Ujang Endin, also said the same thing. His party will maintain land functions as it should be, such as rice fields around technical irrigation channels so as not to change its function.

“The local government will maintain it for the sake of rice productivity in Pangandaran,” he said. (Mad / R6 / HR-Online)
