The Israeli army reported that on Friday evening,they observed a group of Israeli civilians driving towards a closed military zone close to Mughair. When soldiers intervened to disperse the gathering, they were met with violence. The army stated that some settlers attempted to run over soldiers with thier cars, and military vehicles were damaged during the clash. Six Israeli settlers were apprehended and handed over to the israeli police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Both the Israeli army and police have strongly condemned the violence against security personnel, asserting that any attempts to harm forces carrying out their duties will be dealt with severely.Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz also denounced the attack.
