His holidays in Tenerife, Fabienne will remember it for a very long time! Arriving last Saturday with her partner, this Mettet resident first had to deal with the sandstorm that hit Canary Island. Since Tuesday, Fabienne is facing the coronavirus: she is one of some 110 Belgian tourists confined to the H10 Costa Adeje hotel in the south of the Spanish island.

“When we got up this Wednesday morning, we saw thatleaf had been slipped under the door of our room: we were informed that we were confined to the hotel. The reason: one of the clients, an Italian national, presented obvious symptoms of the Chinese coronavirus. This is the entire establishment that has been quarantined.
But Djobine cannot be demoralized, quite the contrary. “The only concern at the moment is thatwe are getting hungry She smiles. “It’s long, but hey, no choice. We watch TV, we go out on the balcony … It’s worse, for the moment, we’re not sick. It is better to avoid taking risks. I am not very reassured (Editor’s note: the clients received a mask and gloves) but at the same time, I don’t think I am in people at risk. At worst, it will be a big flu. Worrying doesn’t avoid the danger, so you might as well try to have a bad time as calmly as possible, “she relativizes. It was not until around 5 p.m. Belgian time that Mettet’s couple received a meal in their room: a sandwich, water and some fruit.
