According to “Ignatz” in October, the storm “Daniel” should move across the country, especially in the first half of the night on Thursday, as a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD) said on Wednesday. Gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour are expected in the northern parts of the country. Maximum values would presumably be reached during the night on the Brocken. Because, in contrast to the previous storm, many trees are no longer leafy, the spokesman expects less damage than in October. To be on the safe side, the Harz narrow-gauge railways shut down part of their network on Tuesday and Wednesday. © dpa-infocom, dpa: 211201-99-215931 / 2 – – .
