Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – The start of the new week could be accompanied by severe storms in parts of Hesse. After thunderstorms and heavy rain with hurricane-like gusts had already been announced for the night of Monday from the south, Monday will start with changing clouds, as the meteorologists of the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Sunday. In the afternoon and evening showers and heavy thunderstorms fall in some parts of the country. According to the meteorologists, the temperatures will settle between 22 and 28 degrees in Hesse on Monday.

On the night of Tuesday, shower-like, sometimes thunderstorm rain from the southwest is likely to move to Hesse. Temperatures drop between Darmstadt and Kassel to a pleasant 12 to 16 degrees. According to the DWD, showers as well as strong thunderstorms, heavy rain and squalls must be expected during the day. The highest temperatures are between 23 degrees in northern Hesse and 27 degrees in the Rhine-Main area. In the night of Wednesday showers and thunderstorms should subside. According to meteorologists, the lowest temperatures are between 12 and 15 degrees.
