Offenbach (dpa/lhe) – The mild winter weather will continue in the coming days with foggy and cloudy prospects. This was announced by the German Weather Service (DWD) on Sunday in Offenbach. At night it is often cloudy and there is light rain, during the day there is largely no precipitation. In the mountains there is a risk of strong gusts and black ice. According to the information, the week starts with light rain and highs of four to eight degrees. At high altitudes, on the other hand, sometimes stormy gusts and values ​​​​of a maximum of two degrees must be expected. On Tuesday the day starts foggy and overcast, but promises loosening up during the course of the day and even some sun in some areas. Overall, according to the DWD, the temperatures in the lowlands range between three and eight degrees by the middle of the week. It will remain largely free of precipitation. At higher altitudes, on the other hand, freezing temperatures would occasionally cause the risk of ice and light snowfall.

In the night to Wednesday, the meteorologists expect fog and high fog fields. During the day it will remain mostly overcast with light south-west winds. It could rain on Thursday night and there could be strong winds, ice formation and snowfall at higher altitudes.
