Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – A hot and sunny Friday in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland is followed by a changeable Saturday and a similar Sunday. On Friday, temperatures will break the 30-degree mark, as a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) said in the morning. Up to 32 degrees and thus the hottest day of the week are possible. In addition, it is slightly cloudy to sunny and dry for now. In the course of the afternoon, however, according to the DWD, the first showers and thunderstorms are coming from the southwest. The focus is on the Palatinate. There may occasionally be storm-like developments – with gusts of wind, heavy rain and hail. During the night the showers would move further northeast.
At the weekend, people in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland can expect changeable weather. Especially on Saturday rain, thunderstorms and hail are likely again. On Sunday it was mostly cloudy. In between, the sun would come out. The temperatures also drop slightly. The next week will finally start rainy and a little cooler at 19 to 24 degrees.
