Mainz/Saarbrücken (dpa/lrs) – After a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, there is a risk of severe weather again at the start of the week. As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach, Monday will start cloudy with showers and occasional thunderstorms. For the afternoon and evening, the meteorologists are forecasting thunderstorms with heavy rain, gusts of wind and hail. The temperatures rise up to 25 degrees. The DWD warns of gusts of wind, and thunderstorms also of stormy gusts.
There is still a risk of severe weather on Tuesday night. Later it should loosen up and the thunderstorms should go away. Temperatures drop to 9 degrees. According to forecasts by meteorologists, it will be cloudy on Tuesday. There are individual showers with maximum temperatures of up to 21 degrees. The wind will be weak to moderate, sometimes gusty.
