Rome July 27, 2020 – After a season with a mild climate and frequent thunderstorms in the North, a blaze of hot African. The forecast the last few hours confirm that 40 degrees will be reached (and exceeded) in many places in Italy, from North to South.
Cities and temperatures
In the coming days – ilMeteo.it says – we will witness an escalation of temperatures in the big cities. The site team warns that until Sunday 2 August the weather will be mostly sunny, to report only occasional afternoon thunderstorms that may erupt on the alpine borders and the neighboring areas. The temperatures that will continue to rise all over Italy will rise on the altars. Until Thursday 30 July we will have already reached i 37-38 degrees in cities like Florence, Mantova, Ferrara, Bologna and on many areas of the Sardinia, of the Sicily and of Puglia (Foggia a Taranto in primis). Yes Friday 31 July the heat will further increase when the African anticyclone is at maximum power. Between Friday 31 July and Sunday 2 August Florence it will touch 40 degrees; Roma, Milano, Torino, Verona, Mantua, Ferrara, Perugia i 38. Inland areas of Sardinia will boil with 43 degrees. Temperatures above 34-35 degrees also on the rest of the cities, with the exception of the Ligurian ones, always below 30.
Avoid going out in the hottest hours
Ilmeteo.it warns that in addition to the heat, there will also be the heat that will be felt most in the big cities. In these situations pay particular attention attention to the weakest people (the elderly, children and the sick) avoiding leaving the house in the hottest hours (from 12 to 18).
Italy lapped by thunderstorms
3bmeteo reports however that in the middle of the week i temporal they could cross into Valpadana. “In light of the latest data” – explains the site – “a new wave of thunderstorms, even strong on the northern regions for Wednesday, with some after-effects in the night on Thursday” would loom.
