Weather: a new disturbance in the south of the country this Sunday


Lhe weather on Sunday March 7 will be dominated by the sun and the coolness in the north and a new disturbance in the south of the country, according to Météo-France forecasts. Over the northern half of the country, the morning frosts will be numerous with banks of low clouds or a few patches of fog at daybreak. The day promises to be sunny, but cool. From Gironde and Poitou-Charentes to Burgundy to Haut-Rhin, the weather will be cloudy with scattered showers.

South of this line, the weather will be very cloudy and disturbed, with showers, locally moderate over the Massif Central. The most lasting and significant rainfall will affect Languedoc-Roussillon, particularly in the plains. In Rhône-Alpes and in the Jura, some showers will be possible mainly on the reliefs. The snow threshold will be 1,300 meters in the morning on all the massifs and 1,500 meters in the afternoon. The Paca region will experience clearings everywhere until the end of the day.

The minimum temperatures will be negative in the north, between – 3 and 0 degrees. It will be a little milder on the coast of the Manche department with + 1 degree. In the Grand Est, the mercury will drop to – 5 / – 3 degrees, while the thermometer will be around 3 to 6 degrees in the southwest, for 8 to 10 degrees in the Aude and around the Gulf of Lion and no more than 1 to 5 degrees in Provence. The maximums will climb from 7 to 11 degrees in the northern half, between 11 and 14 degrees in the south, up to 16 degrees in the Bouches-du-Rhône and even 15 to 17 in Corsica.
