Let me clarify something first: it’s no shame if you’ve never heard of the “iconic snack” cornet d’amour. At first I also did not know where the clapper was. Somehow the term reminded me more of Sean Dhondt than ice cream. But apparently it is the IJsboerke version of the well-known and delicious Cornetto from competitor Ola. Not an unimportant detail in times of product placement. Certainly not when the ice cream factory from Kempense Tielen is the common thread running through the first episode of Snackmasters on VTM.
