We thought it was Halloween joke

Horror in Spain, where yesterday a man was seen in the middle of the street with a plastic bag in his hands while shouting: “I have a head, I have a head”. Having been on Halloween day, passersby thought of a joke in bad taste made by a person who then threw the sack into a garbage can. A few hours later the truth came out: inside there was indeed a severed head, that of the neighbor. The horror scene – as reported by the Iberian newspapers – took place yesterday afternoon around 3 pm in Huelva, Spain, near the border with Portugal. Arriving at the scene, the police surrounded the murderer’s home and managed to arrest the man at around 9 pm. Eyewitnesses told police that “the man dropped a garbage bag and ran away. The suspect yelled ‘I have a head, I have a head, I have a head'”. Two neighbors had noticed it but gave little weight to those screams, convinced it was a Halloween joke. Shortly thereafter, horrified and shocked, they discovered the truth.

Sources close to the investigators said the main suspect in this murder would be a well known figure of Huelva, known by the nickname of “El Méxicano”. Although at first the two were rumored to be brothers, it was later discovered that the victim was the neighbor and that the two were often seen hanging out together very often. According to these same sources, “El Mexicano” has psychiatric problems: it remains to be understood now what was the motive for the crime.
