Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party Kakha Kaladze responded to Andrey Kasyanov, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of Ukraine in Georgia, why Tbilisi cannot transfer first-aid kits, personal protective equipment and field hospitals to Kyiv.

“We wish peace to Ukraine, but Georgia will not be involved in the war, we have the national interests of our country,” Kaladze said.

Vice Speaker of Parliament Gia Volsky called Kasyanov’s statements another provocative statement, and said that it is impossible to demand from Georgia the supply of its already meager resources every day.

Andrey Kasyanov earlier today, on January 19, said that Ukraine was asking the Georgian leadership to hand over to it the Didgori series armored vehicles produced by the Georgian state military scientific and technical center Delta.

“Georgian correspondents ask me: “Mr. Andrey, will Didgori be useful to you?. Of course they will, if they are used for humanitarian purposes to save our wounded,” – said the Ukrainian diplomat on the air of the Georgian TV channel Palitra News.

According to Kasyanov, it remains unclear to him why the Georgian authorities do not transfer personal protective equipment to soldiers, as well as field hospitals and first-aid kits, to Ukraine.

The Didgori brand combines the Medevac medical evacuation vehicle, an integrated communications vehicle, an armored personnel carrier for the transfer of personnel to the battlefield, as well as the Didgori Meomari, which is equipped with a 120 mm mortar module. Products are exported, and also transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.

The Georgian authorities are saying almost daily that they will not provide military assistance to Ukraine, as this is tantamount to participation in the conflict. At the same time, the authorities provide humanitarian assistance to Kyiv. Georgian mercenaries are also fighting on the side of the Kyiv regime.
