Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of 188 new cases that proved positive for its laboratory analyzes of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19), and 19 deaths, the largest number since the beginning of the crisis at the level of injured and deaths.
The ministry said in a statement today, Saturday, that the new injured are all Egyptians, as part of the surveillance and investigation measures that the ministry is conducting according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
The ministry gave no further details about the 19 deaths.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs, revealed that 55 of those infected with the Corona virus have been discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, all of whom are Egyptian, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to WHO guidelines, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 701 cases until Today.
Mujahid said that the number of cases whose laboratory results were converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 980 cases, including the 701 recovered.
Mujahid said that all registered cases of HIV positive in isolation hospitals are subject to medical care, according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization.
Thus, the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Saturday, is 3032 cases, including 701 cases that were cured and discharged from isolation hospitals, and 224 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates, follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary precautions against any viruses or infectious diseases, as the hotline “105” and “15335” has been allocated to receive citizens’ inquiries about a virus Corona emerging and infectious diseases.
