Last year, Samsung shifted the spade model line Galaxy S from a technical and price point of view, which was not the case with previous generations. This meant that the available model from the S20 series was outdone (the Galaxy S10e did not get a successor) and, conversely, a new type of Ultra appeared at the other end of the spectrum.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra represented the best that fans could have imagined with the classic design, and especially the equipment, especially in the area of the camera, was an interesting shift.
This year, Samsung remained in the hired dormitories and models of the Galaxy S21 series, especially as an evolution of flat models. But at least in the case of the S21 Ultra type, ie currently the most equipped classically designed Samsung, it is also a repart.
To be clear, the Galaxy S20 Ultra was and still is a spade smartphone, but it has its flies. The problem with its striking and unpleasant sharp entry of the camera, the tuner itself has been fine-tuned by the manufacturer and with the fourth software update and moreover, it is not what the DxO Mark camera car shows, in which after a year the S20 Ultra barely remained in the front plate.
So with that, we were expecting how it would be a kind of spade phone for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which in some respects would disappoint, Samsung could not afford. And the good first thing is that Samsung has avoided annoying mistakes. At least that’s what comes from our first impressions after about five days.

Yes, the Ultra model also has unpleasant steps, which Samsung has made for this year’s top model: you will not find a recharge and errors in the microSD card slot in the package. On the other hand, the S21 Ultra is cheaper, not as much as the S20 Ultra went on sale last year, and unlike smaller siblings, the constructions did not take the display curved on its sides.
According to us, his presence is quite important here. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is still a very powerful smartphone, although Samsung has changed the display depth by a tenth of an inch to 6.8 inches, but that’s below the surface. In addition, Samsung decided to sharply redesign the set of cameras and designs to connect it with the frame of the phone.
The result is elegant and original at first glance, but on the other hand quite powerful, you don’t have to like cadmium. For the S21 and S21 + models, this can be seen extremely due to their flat displays, for the S21 Ultra type the bent oven only softens the overall look a bit, so the phone doesn’t look so brutal.
Next, let’s think that the design of the novelties may not like cadmium, and we also had to get used to the new look, but at least compared to the S20 Ultra, the novelty looks good. And that’s enough. The input of the camera is very striking, but at the same time the individual eyes are admitted to it and the connection with the rest of the phone’s button works visually according to us. And practically, because the phone got rid of several unpleasant edges. Samsung should round the frame to the inside of the camera kit, which can be uncomfortable.
After the look of the phone, the new matte surface of the back slept, which does not get so tight and looks more elegant than the glossy design. The S21 Ultra is available in two colors: black and silver. Matte black is really matte without any glare, with the silver glass back cover it plays a bit of color shades according to the noise of light. We can’t decide which versions are more or less.
A bit of a code is that the Ultra model will not be offered by Samsung or the purple color variant, which can be had for smaller designs. A pleasant surprise for us is that the S21 Ultra fits in your hand a bit better than the S20 Ultra, even though it is of course a very large phone.

We will also look in detail at the S21 Ultra camera, but we must state that it really surprised. Compared to the plot, there are hardware changes, but the concept with the main image of a large resolution and other names has remained the same, so we did not expect a day of dramatic changes. It was just a huge mistake. The changes are here and without pehnn they are dramatic. What may not look like a shift on the pope is, in practice, a two-generation lead.
Fok is really excellent. Where the Galaxy S20 Ultra has suffered from slow thorns or an inability to focus at all, the S21 Ultra excels. Better are also given the parameters of the image, such as contrast, drawing and details, I pay more attention to zoom. The new set with a pair of zoom lenses with triple and tenfold zooms is evident here.
Also great is the wide-angle camera, which has recently been given an automatic focus and with which you can take macro photography from an unusual perspective: the lens stays from perhaps one centimeter away. More in the review, but the first impressions are excellent and the Galaxy S21 Ultra is a strong pedal in this respect.
That salary for the phone as a whole. We get used to the design a bit, but on the functional side, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is a really good spade device. We will also test its ability to work with the S-Pen in more detail. It is sold as an accessory and does not fit into the back of the phone: the pen is stored in a good case with which it comes.
The case spreads the phone about 8 mm and gives it an embossed frame on the left side, which does not look like an ordinary one. Is this the way Samsung will end the Note line-up? It doesn’t seem like it, but it’s different.
