Bandai Namco Entertainment has released Sword Art Online Variant Showdown on the 25th in both markets.
Sword Art Online Variant Showdown is a game celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sword Art Online. Unlike the original animation, the game plays out as an original story with an unidentified player losing part of their opponent’s memory in the fictional VR action game “Cross Edge”.
To celebrate the release of the game, Bandai Namco Entertainment will be holding various in-game events such as Start Dash and Pickup Scout. Additionally, various prizes will be awarded to commemorate reaching 1 million pre-registrations. In addition, to commemorate the release of “Theatrical Version Sword Art Online -Progressive-Dark Darkness Scherzo”, a login bonus was launched together to commemorate the release of the theatrical version.
