It will never be possible to publish his publications on Twitter. The CEO and co-founder of social network Jack Dorsey called him back on Wednesday with a question and answer session for the American media Wired, reports Numerama.

To explain his position, the co-founder returns to the origins of Twitter, launched in 2006. “We started with a messaging service comparable to
SMS. And as you all know, when you send a text, you can’t get it back, ”says Jack Dorsey. “We wanted to keep this approach from the first days. “
Jack Dorsey also explains that the retweet function, which relays the publication of another Internet user, prevents the existence of an “editing” function. The CEO cannot imagine that we are retweeting a message which, a few hours later, changes its meaning completely after modification.
Regarding the faults, Twitter has at one time considered installing a feature that would delay sending the message. The editor would then have a few seconds to make final corrections of form andspelling. But Twitter will “probably never introduce it,” recalls Numerama. The only solution when we don’t like one of our tweets is deletion.
