We are looking forward to these 10 games this year

Horizon Forbidden West

The sequel to the post-apocalyptic hit from the Dutch Guerrilla Games revolves around Aloy, who can tame the enormous robotic animals in the overgrown, future America. This time, players will travel to the former San Francisco, where people also live in tribes and have forgotten modern society. Coming out for both PS4 and PS5, expected end of 2021

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

The sequel to the sublime first part that appeared next to the Nintendo Switch in 2017. Promises to continue the story straight away, something that doesn’t happen often in the Zelda series. We see Link and Zelda on the road together, including underground. The game builds on the world of the first part and the developers have been inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2. Will probably be released for the Nintendo Switch at the end of 2021.

Deathloop

From the studio behind Dishonored: action game about time travel and turning back time when something goes wrong. Available May 21st for PC and PS5.

God of War: Ragnarok

The sequel to the hit God of War game from 2018. Once again, the Greek demigod Kratos takes on the gods of Norse mythology. Baldur is already out of the way, and Thor is probably not happy about that. Released on an unknown date in 2021 for PS5.

Gotham Knights

The fourth installment in developer Rocksteady’s successful Batman series. Batman is dead in this part, though dead is rarely dead when it comes to Batman. Players enter Gotham City as Batgirl, Robin, Red Hood and Nightwing. Released in 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X / S.

Gran Turismo 7

The always stunning racing series, the latest installment exclusive to PS5. Therefore with 4K images, HDR, 60 fps and a lot of haptic feedback from the DualSense controller of the PS5. The release date is still unknown, but probably this year.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

The first new Ratchet & Clank game in more than four years promises blazingly fast, hilarious action, beautiful graphics and revolutionary gameplay that was not possible only on previous consoles. The PS5 makes loading times a thing of the past, and Ratches & Clank jump seamlessly from level to level and back again through portals. Expected for PS5 in the first half of 2021.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite should have appeared right next to the new Xboxes, but was not completely finished yet. The game now gets the development time it needs, a wise decision. Halo Infinite promises to be a kind of re-introduction of the most famous series of Xbox games. Players will once again get into the Master Chief’s suit and face thousands of aliens. Will be released in the fall of 2021 for Xbox and PC, including via Xbox GamePass.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

Previously released for the WiiU, but since hardly anyone had that device, one of the best Mario games has passed a lot of people. So a second chance, expanded with a multiplayer co-op mode. Released on February 12 for the Nintendo Switch.

Monster Hunter Rise

A game that almost only consists of boss fights. For years a gigantic hit in Japan that is also gradually gaining popularity in Europe and the United States. This new Switch part takes all the novelties from the previous title for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One and adds a little extra.

Playdate

Also nice: Playdate, the small yellow game console from Panic. With wheel and specially developed games, will be released later this year after some delay.
