Russia will have to switch to diplomacy, the president said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that we are approaching the point where Russia will have to lay down its weapons and move to diplomacy.
“The situation in the Donbas remains extremely difficult on the whole. The Russian army is trying to selectively gather superior forces to put more and more pressure on our defenders. There, in the Donbas, the maximum combat power of the Russian army has now been assembled. Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Bakhmut, Avdeevka, Kurakhovo, Slavyansk and some other settlements remain key targets for the occupiers in this particular direction,” the president said.

Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian defenders and defenders who, despite the technical and in some places quantitative advantage of the occupiers, heroically hold the line.
“Today, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv again. The territory of our Sumy region was also shelled across the border between Ukraine and Russia. The struggle for the Kherson region continues. Step by step, we are liberating our land and gradually approaching the point where Russia will still have to put aside its weapons, count all his dead and move on to diplomacy. You will definitely have to,” he stressed.
