“We almost went through bipolar”. DGS video with Portuguese artists causes discomfort and Carlão gives voice to the musicians who participated – Actualidade

Issued on several television channels, the announcement in question, with a seal from the Directorate-General for Health, features artists such as HMB, Bárbara Bandeira, Marisa Liz or Camané, and warns of the dangers of gatherings in the face of the Covidean pandemic. 19.

One of the participants in the ad, Carlão, however decided to make a clarification on his social networks to explain that the context of recording the DGS video was other than what currently exists in the country.

“Me and a number of musicians showed up and we are saying that things that are not in line with what we are going through now”, explains the rapper, indicating that this “has a simple reason for being, the announcement was recorded in June”, thus having “a completely different context from the one we are experiencing now in October”.

Recalling that in June the country went through a phase in which “some illegal parties were being held, where many people caught the virus”, Carlão now regrets that the late issuance of the advertisement may convey the wrong image of its participants and the artistic community in general.

“In this DGS advertising we almost went through bipolar because, on the one hand, we are complaining about not being able to do what we want to do, which is giving shows, giving concerts, and, on the other hand, we appear on television almost instilling fear in people , looking like we’re kind of chonés. We are not chonés ”, says the artist.

Pointing out, however, that solutions were created so that it was possible to “make concerts, even if in a completely different way from what we were used to, but complying with safety rules”, Carlão speaks of a “somewhat confused situation” that has already taken several of participants to “ask for advertising to be taken offline”.

“This is creating a malaise among the artistic community, and not only, because people are a bit for nothing, they are not understanding why we are saying that right now, and with some reason”, says the rapper. At the time of publication of this article, the video was no longer present on the social networks of the Directorate-General for Health.

“It is a bit of a complicated situation. Of course, if that was coming out when it was supposed to come out, I wouldn’t be here to tell you this now. At the time, no one would be surprised. Now, “he adds.

Also Samuel Úria, another of the participants and frequent collaborator of the SAPO24, deplored the situation, explaining that it is not a matter of “bipolarity” or “hypocrisy”, and referring the explanations to Carlão’s video.
