Western Digital presented new external solid state drive My Passport with a capacity of up to 2 TB. With a compact metal body and high-speed NVMe technology, the new palm-sized device gives users the ability to store and work with sensitive data protected.
This new My Passport SSD offers up to 1050 MB / s read and 1000 MB / s write. Supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption for easy password protection. The SSD is shock, vibration and drop resistant up to 2 meters. Included is software to make it easy to back up large files to disk or to a cloud service account.

Among the features, we can also note support for USB 3.2 Gen-2 technology, the presence of a USB-C cable and a USB-A adapter in the kit. The My Passport SSD comes with a five-year limited warranty and is now available in 500GB ($ 119.99) and 1TB ($ 189.99) gray colors.

Later this year, there will be 2TB variants, as well as versions in blue, red and gold colors. The price and exact time of their launch have not yet been announced.
