In a video column, the Uno TV expert reviews the citizens’ criticism regarding the water crisis in Monterreybeing that some of the protests consider that the shortage of the vital liquid is due to the large companies that plague the resources, although Rubio points to the strategies of governments and gives an example to prove it.
According to the specialist, a study was carried out that analyzed the situation of two cities in Arizona, Tucson y Phoenix, who consumed different amounts of water. “In Tucson they consumed half of agua than in Phoenix, because in the first one the water was charged depending on the consumption and it was invested in enormous amounts so that it would never be lacking”, he says.

“The water crisis in Monterrey Is it the product of chance or mismanagement? Is it the product of a consistent project of maintenance and investment in infrastructure or is it the product of political errors?” asks the journalist, although he himself offers the answer.
“If we understand water as a public good, as a good that must be managed, invested and collected, we will never have enough, because there will always be someone who will be consuming more, taking advantage of the fact that there is practically no charge” .
