King’s Commissioner Wim van de Donk will officially say goodbye to the people of Brabant on Sunday. This is done with a talk show from the provincial house where Van de Donk and presenter Arjo Kraak receive various guests. There are also musical performances by Guus Meeuwis, among others. This talk show starts at 4 p.m. and can be followed live on the website and app of Omroep Brabant and on television.

In January, Wim van de Donk announced his retirement as King’s Commissioner. On Sunday afternoon, Wim van de Donk and Arjo Kraak receive guests who are important to Brabant and who have played a role in Van de Donk’s work.

Musical performances
The guest list includes minister Carola Schouten, writer Wim Daniëls, actor Frank Lammers, bishop Gerard de Korte and GGD director Ellis Jeurissen. The guests are present or make contact remotely via a special connection. There are also performances by various Brabant artists, including Guus Meeuwis and Gerard van Maasakkers.

Van de Donk will officially retire as King’s Commissioner on 1 October. He will then work as Rector Magnificus and Chairman of the Executive Board of Tilburg University. Van de Donk was the King’s Commissioner in Brabant for eleven years and is succeeded by Ina Adema.
