It has already been reported that the Agency will be available on a dedicated Internet platform www.agentura.jrt.lv. From November 27, viewers will have access to 10 series of the series.
JRT artistic director Alvis Hermanis came up with the idea to make a multi-series film in the spring of 2020, during the Covid-19 crisis. In collaboration with writer, screenwriter Jānis Joņevs and cinematographer Mārtiņš Grauda, filming took place during the summer at JRT’s temporary home in the Tobacco Factory and elsewhere in Riga and Latvia.
As Jelf’s public relations representative Inga Liepiņa previously told “Delfi”, the film genre combines a psychological thriller with a detective, and its events will take place in Riga and Latvia in the summer of 2020. It is a story about a world that is suddenly changing again, and about the touching belief that everything on this world can be manipulated. At the heart of the story is an advertising agency – a classic office where professionalism meets fatigue, romance and existential confusion. The catalyst of the story is a mysterious case that obscures everything that has been stable and promising so far. The detective’s intrigue unfolds in a close-up thriller, in which there are probably no innocents.
The film will feature all JRT actors and 3rd year students of the Latvian Academy of Culture JRT studio.
The series will be available on the Internet platform from November 27 www.agentura.jrt.lv from any device at your convenience around the world. Initially, the film will be available only in Latvian, but by the end of the year also in Russian.
The opportunity to enjoy the performance of the actors of the New Riga Theater up close in their homes for ten hours will cost 50 euros. According to the representative of JRT, when purchasing a multi-series art film in advance sale from November 20 to 26 – the price of all series will be 40 euros.
