Watch ‘An Environmental Activist’ Reveals Role of Precautionary Dams in Protecting Jeddah Governorate from the Danger of a Major Flood

Al-Marsad newspaper: Environmental activist Saad Al-Suhaimi revealed the role of the precautionary dams that were recently built to protect Jeddah governorate – after God – from a major disaster after yesterday’s heavy rains.

He pointed out that the amount of rainwater reached 179 mm yesterday, while in 2009 the amount was about 90 mm. According to the DailyMail.

During the video, he reviewed one of the precautionary dams and the large amount of rainwater the dam held back.

He pointed out that the precautionary dam helped prevent torrential rains from East Jeddah from pouring into the city.
