Warn! On weekends, long queues can form at the entrance to Jurmala – Latvia

Approaching the hot summer holidays, Jūrmala municipality warns of long queues at the entrance to Jūrmala, Zane Leite, the head of the Public Relations Department of the City Council, informed.

The municipality urges motorists not to crowd the entrance tickets in Priedaine and to buy tickets for entering the city electronically or in one of the four ticket machines in the city.

You can pay for entering Jūrmala on the portal “www.visitjurmala.lv”, via the “Mobilly” or “Citadele” application.

The fee can also be paid at the vending machines in four places in the city: at the Rimi supermarket in Lielupe, at the Dzintari Concert Hall, in the Majori parking lot and at the Dubulti station.

The entrance fee in Jurmala is two euros. Parking spaces in the territory of Jūrmala city in places where parking of vehicles is allowed are free of charge, except for privately installed parking lots.

The pass can also be paid for on the same day after entering the city, only it should be noted that the pass must be purchased on the day when the vehicle arrived in Jūrmala until 23.59, or before.

With one daily pass, you can enter the special regime area an unlimited number of times on the date for which the pass was purchased. It is important to remember that the vehicle registration number must be clearly stated when purchasing the pass.

The pass is valid only for a specific vehicle, the registration number of which is indicated when purchasing the pass.

Municipal data show that on hot summer holidays, the flow of drivers in Jūrmala increases 2-3 times compared to working days.

The penalty for non-compliance with the pass regime is 50 euros.
