The United States estimates that Russia is facing a failure of up to 60% of high-precision missileswhich she uses to attack Ukraine.

The agency reports Reuters with reference to American officials.

Citing US intelligence, three US officials said the United States estimates that Russia’s denial rate is changing day by day. It depends on the type of rocket being launched and can sometimes exceed 50%. Two of them said it reached 60%.

One of the officials said that intelligence showed that the failure rate of Russian air-launched cruise missiles was between 20 and 60%, depending on the day.

Two experts interviewed by Reuters said any bounce rate of 20% or more would be considered high.

Officials have not disclosed what exactly is causing the high failure rates of Russian missiles.

Journalists point out that such a high failure rate could include anything from failed launches to failure of the rocket to explode on impact.

Earlier this week, US Defense Department officials said the Pentagon estimated that Russia had fired more than 1,100 missiles of all kinds since the start of the war. US officials have yet to say how many of them achieved their goals and how many failed.
