Wadowice. Attack on the parliamentary office of Beata Szydło. Another case this year

As deputy Filip Kaczyński informed on his social profile, vandals damaged the PiS parliamentary office in Wadowice, which he shares with the MEP Beata Szydło. Unknown perpetrators tried to tear an information board out of the building’s wall. In addition, a cardboard banner with the words “In memory of the victims of PiS border policy” and a candle was left in front of the entrance to the offices. The case has already been reported to the police.

“Progressive forces cannot be scared off”

Vandal attacks on parliamentary offices are becoming more frequent and concern politicians from various groups. Two weeks ago, there was an attack on the offices of parliamentarians on behalf of the Left. The case was announced by MP Krzysztof Śmiszek.

“Destroyed offices of the members of the Left in Ostrów Wlkp. This is the effect of the PiS industry of contempt! But you know what? We are unstoppable! The more you do, the more people of good will who know that progressive forces cannot be scared off” – he wrote in social media parliamentarian.

As reported at the beginning of February, a similar act of violence took place in Katowice, where the premises were destroyed MPs Monika Rosa’s Civic Coalition. The perpetrators painted the office windows with black paint. They wrote “pedals raus!” The parliamentarian is known for her activities for the LGBT minority.

Life imprisonment for the murder of Marek Rosiak

However, the most tragic attack on the parliamentary office took place 11 years ago in Łódź. Then Ryszard C. broke into the PiS office and opened fire on his employee – Marek Rosiak, who – hit by eight bullets – died on the spot. The attacker threw a knife and a stun gun at the second employee – Paweł Kowalski, who was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. According to witnesses at the time attack the perpetrator shouted that he hated PiS and that he wanted to kill Kaczyński. The court sentenced the perpetrator to life imprisonment for the crime.
