The duel was originally supposed to be played as part of the D + D Real Winter Hockey Games in the open air in Špindlerův Mlýn on Friday, December 10, but due to the unfavorable coronavirus situation and government measures, the event was postponed to next season.

Vsetín took the lead in the 6th minute in the power play Roman Pšurný and at 12:52 David Vítek raised. After 15 seconds, Marek Hecl reduced the numerical advantage and in the 23rd minute Ondřej Matýs equalized in the next power play. After the goals of Tomáš Kynčl and again Hecla, the home team had a two-goal lead half of the match.
