Voting for the nominees for the Kilograms of Culture annual award begins

Voting for the Latvian Public Media of the Year Award in Culture “Kilograms of Culture 2021” in the category “My Cultural Place” starts on Monday, the representative of Latvian Television (LTV) Anita Jansone informed.

LTV informs that 36 cultural venues have been entered in the category and put to the vote of the audience – larger and smaller, both recently discovered and with decades-long traditions. The list also includes cultural places that are not physically accessible, but offer to spend time and experience culture in the digital world.

Also, from today until January 26, it is possible to vote for the finalists in the other categories, in which three finalists are nominated each.

The “Kilograms of Culture” award ceremony will take place at the end of February.

Nominees and listeners nominate the nominees in a total of three votes.

In the third or “winter vote” earlier this year, a jury of social media culture professionals nominated candidates in eight categories. Only one of the works that will receive the most public support will be put to the final vote.
