Quebec city, QC – August 22, 2025 – Nineteen-year-old Maëli Cormier, a standout volleyball player from Quebec City, has accepted a full athletic scholarship to attend an American university, marking a meaningful step in her athletic career. Cormier will be joining the Beavers team at an undisclosed university, beginning her studies and training this August.
The scholarship covers all of Cormier’s expenses, including tuition, room, and board, allowing her to focus entirely on her academics and athletic progress. She is enrolled in the university’s sports business programme, a field aligning with her interests beyond the court.
Cormier is currently participating in a month-long preparatory stay on campus, acclimating to the university environment and beginning training with her new team.
