Volleyball Bundesliga: UVC Ried celebrates their next win 3-0 against Klagenfurt

Once again there is a new game mode in the Volleyball Bundesliga this year. UVC Weberzeile Ried, for whom things did not go as desired in the first phase of the regular season, want to achieve a good starting position for the quarter-finals in phase two. First place is necessary for this, then you would meet fourth in the championship group in the first playoff round. On Tuesday, the Rieder took the next step to achieve this goal with a clear 3-0 home win against Klagenfurt.

With 23 points, the Innviertler drew level with Sokol Vienna, but Ried has played one game less. The team of coach Dominik Kefer celebrated the third win in a row against Klagenfurt. “We played a lot smarter today than we did at the last home game against Klagenfurt. I’m happy when the team can implement the training content in the game,” said Kefer. Top scorer for Ried were Tomasz Rutecki (14) and Niklas Etlinger (11),

Michal Syzdlowski, the Libero of Rieder, was confident after the clear home win: “We’re on the right track to becoming a real team. We acted calmly and focused today. We’re also getting better and better in defense.”

On Sunday, December 13th, the Rieder want to continue the winning streak away in Weiz. The game will take place from 4pm www.volleynet.at/tv streamed live.
