Vojtěch banned internal events for more than 10 standing people

According to the minister, the aim of further restrictions is to stop the current increase in the number of positive people for covid-19, which is higher than in the spring. “Increases will continue in the coming period, the numbers will be similar to the current increases. We are doing certain modeling of development, we promise to stabilize the situation by introducing measures, “Vojtěch told the deputies on Wednesday during the debate on the development of the coronavirus epidemic.

Concerts just sitting

The Ministry of Health, effective from Friday 18 September from 6 pm, ordered that mass internal events exceeding 10 people should be held only if all participants have seats. Tickets may only be sold at seats.

Exceptions are exhibitions, markets, fairs and other similar events. Conversely, the measure also applies to restaurants, bars and clubs. However, according to the ministry, this does not mean that people in a veil are not allowed to move around the establishment, for example, even to dance. Balls or dance events can work, only everyone has to have seats.

Vojtěch justified this by saying that the majority of those infected with coronavirus are between the ages of 20 and 29. According to the minister, these can be people who have just contracted club events and can be a source of the spread of the disease even among risk groups. “We are based on the Austrian model. It is these events in various clubs that are the source of the spread of the disease, “said Vojtěch.

Weddings and celebrations

According to the government’s health commissioner Roman Prymula, there will also be a reduction in the number of people at private events.

“The number of people at public and private events such as weddings and celebrations will be reduced,” Roman Prymula explained in the Report List. According to him, it is necessary to take such a step, because people have not behaved completely disciplined in the past three months. “The increase in numbers is due to people thinking for the last three months that the virus has disappeared, but he is still here and these are the first effects of their behavior,” he added.

Veils in pubs

Today, the Ministry of Health also specified the obligation to wear drapes in catering establishments. Customers do not have to wear a veil only when consuming food and meals, including drinks, while sitting at a table. People may put the veil down only when they are sitting on a chair, bench, bar stool at a table or bar counter, etc., and consume or drink. “It is not possible to use this exception, for example, when standing at a bar or moving around the premises,” the ministry pointed out.

Closing schools?

Prymula did not rule out that the schools would close again at the end of September. “If the situation worsens dramatically, the iceberg will be considered,” said the government’s health commissioner. “Schools will not be closed yet, but everything will depend on the situation. At the moment, there is no general measure except for those that are going to tomorrow, “he concluded.

From Thursday, September 10, the obligation to wear a veil in the interior of buildings applies throughout the Czech Republic. At the same time, the Ministry of Health called on citizens to comply with the basic hygiene rules under the abbreviation 3R – in addition to wearing veils, it is regular hand washing and compliance with two-meter intervals.

The Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic (IHIS) expects a further increase in the number of cases of covid-19. According to the IHIS, we can now talk about the risk of widespread exponential spread of the disease, when according to data from the end of last week, one person with coronavirus infects about 1.59 other people during their illness.
