Rumors that Maryla Rodowicz may be a trainer in the show “The Voice Senior”, appearing since spring this year. The singer has not played such a role in TVP programs before.
On the other hand, Piotr Cugowski was one of the coaches in the ninth edition of “The Voice of Poland”, which TVP2 aired in the fall of 2018.
Telewizja Polska announced that the recordings of the third edition have just started „The Voice Senior”. She announced that, just like early, the program will consist of a blind audition stage, a semi-final stage and a final, where the winner will be selected by viewers via SMS voting.
The new edition of “The Voice Senior” is to be shown in the coming winter.
Andrzej Piaseczny and Izabela Trojanowska are disappearing from “The Voice Senior”
Alicja Majewska and Witold Paszt will continue to perform as coaches in “The Voice Senior”. Majewska has participated in two previous editions of the show, and Paszt appeared in the second series.
In spring, TVP announced that one of the hosts of the new edition of “The Voice of Poland” will be the singer Rafał Brzozowski, the host of “Jaka to melodia” on TVP1.
Izabela Trojanowska and Andrzej Piaseczny, who were coaches in the previous edition, said goodbye to “The Voice of Poland”. Polish Television suggested the end of cooperation with Piaseczny at the beginning of January, when Adam “Nergal” Darski posted short recordings on Instagram, how Piaseczny, together with guests at his birthday party, chanted vulgar slogans (including “J … scare PiS”) and sang a song about drugs.
Polish Television expressed its regret in the press release. She emphasized that there would be no changes in the series “The Voice Senior”, which was then ongoing, but she would take into account the behavior of celebrities in their private lives when casting subsequent productions.
The premiere episodes of the second series of “The Voice Senior” could be watched on TVP2 on Saturdays at May 20, from January 2 to February 6 this year. The average was 2.43 million people, which translated into 17.11 percent. TV market share among all viewers, 11.54 percent. in the commercial group 16-49 and 12.08 percent. in group 16-59. Talent-show, commissioned by Telewizja Polska, is produced by the Rochstar company.
“The Voice Senior” is another modification of Talpa Content’s television format “The Voice”, present in many countries.
The program features vocally talented people over 60 years old. The performances at all stages of the show are assessed by the coaches. The rules are very similar to other programs under the “The Voice” brand: seniors take part in castings, choose the team of their favorite coach and compete to advance to the stage with the final concerts, and in the final – they compete for the main prize.
The first Polish edition of “The Voice Senior” was won by the Szydłowski Sisters, and the second by Barbara Parzeczewska.
