Vladimir Putin announces military conscription, these 3 professions are freed to go to war

Jakarta

Vladimir Putin announced a partial order for Russian military mobilization last week. The Russian president also called for public conscription to help fight Ukrainian troops. But not all Russians are required to do this because some important professions are exempt.

The decision to partially mobilize the army led Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu to order another 300,000 reservists to help serve during the war. Sergey himself believes that his country has a very strong mobilization capacity so that he can summon 23 million people despite the fact that now many citizens are trying to escape.

Reported by Al Jazeera, Sergey Shoigu explained that not everyone is ordered to do military service. Certain types of professions deemed important will be released to protect the Russian technology industry and financial system. Therefore, exceptions apply to workers in the IT or telecommunications, finance and various professions in the media sector that are considered systematically important.

Russia itself will rank companies in key sectors to see if they can meet certain thresholds in terms of number of employees, income or annual tax payments. With this classification, companies can obtain assistance from the Kremlin in terms of loans, bailouts and state investments.

The Defense Ministry has asked companies to compile a list of their employees who meet the criteria for military service. Meanwhile, the Russian central bank is urged to eliminate a number of financial operators from participating in the war if their existence is considered crucial.

“Workers associated with critical areas will remain in their positions so that the financial system can continue to run smoothly, people will receive wages, pensions and social benefits on time, card payments, and new transfer and loan jobs can be issued.” , said the representative of the central bank.

Due to this conscription order, many Russians are trying to leave their country, mainly to neighboring countries, such as Georgia and Kazakhstan. Some even walk and queue for days to escape their country.
