In the future, the virus could be more like a cold.

However, a more difficult course would also be conceivable. Then people would withdraw from the public faster.

Severe shortness of breath, high fever and dry cough. Since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, these symptoms have plagued many sufferers worldwide. The virus has not yet been defeated, but the complaints could soon be far less severe. That says the German star virologist Christian Drosten (47).
–
In his Podcast he points out that in the future Corona could be compared to a runny nose.

Corona mutates and adapts
The doctor refers to an Oxford study in his findings. The scientists had examined various corona populations and came to the conclusion that the virus mutated and developed.
–
Drosten concludes that the virus has a good chance of adapting to humans. And that is good news. Because: Although it is better to transmit, it only sticks in the nose.
–
«In the nose, however, we don’t get too sick from it, which means that in the long run the whole thing becomes a runny nose, which is no longer interested in the lungs. That could happen, that would be good and a downplaying of this disease, »says Drosten.

“The virus is becoming harmless”
The German is also considering a different development. The virus could “generally increase its level of replication in all mucous membranes, which would also affect the lungs. Then it would be a more serious illness. »
–
However, this scenario would also be advantageous for transmission to the general public. Because those who get sick earlier and more seriously tend to withdraw from the public more quickly and do not endanger the others. “Virus epidemics therefore usually weaken.”
–
The virologist emphasizes: “The virus will in any case become harmless – if only because of population immunity.” (one)
