Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that they knew the identity of the vaccinator suspected of injecting Covid-19 vaccine blank to Wahidin Elementary School (SD) students, Medan District, Labuhan, North Sumatra.
“Yes, the person has been caught,” he said, after reviewing the vaccination implementation at SD Muhammadiyah Jogodayoh, Bambanglipuro, Bantul, DIY, Friday (21/1).
“Duh, I said this is a vaccination, we don’t just work for ourselves. This is humanity. You have to understand, one day we will die and we will also be asked by the one above, what is the responsibility?” said Budi.
He also asked for this case to be processed immediately as a warning to vaccinators or other health workers.
“I said, we should just process that officially, but that’s also an appeal to other friends, please don’t do that. Because it’s a very useless thing, and in my opinion, we are sinful as humans,” he concluded.
Previously, the Belawan Harbor Police, North Sumatra, investigated the suspicion of a vaccinator injecting an empty Covid-19 vaccine into elementary school students that went viral on social media.
The video was taken at Wahidin Elementary School, Jalan Komodor Laut Yos Sudarso Kilometer 16, Martubung Village, Medan Labuhan District, North Sumatra.
“We are conducting an examination of the health workers. The police are already undergoing examinations. It is at Wahidin Elementary School. We are currently investigating the video. So after we investigated, it turns out that the incident occurred at Wahidin Elementary School while vaccinating children aged 6-11 years,” the Police Chief said. Belawan Port AKBP Faisal, Thursday (20/1).
Investigators are also conducting an examination of medical personnel who are vaccinators and summoning a number of other witnesses, such as parents of students and the school.
“Nakes from a hospital in Medan. His parents question whether his child has been vaccinated or not,” he said.
In the video that went viral, the vaccinator, wearing a dark red outfit and a black green vest, takes a shot from a paper seal. After that, the vaccinator slightly pulled the tip of the syringe lever and injected it into the left arm of one of the elementary students.
He then took a tissue and placed it on the arm of the elementary school student who was injected earlier. He also had the chance to invite the bespectacled elementary school student to talk.
