Two prince brothers stand together

A royal family in harmony, an actress targeted by lateral thinkers, a Hollywood star who has her wisdom teeth pulled and the truth about a world-famous “Nipplegate” from 2004: the weekend is just around the corner. Time for “Vip, Vip, Hurray!”
“In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes,” Andy Warhol once said. This statement can be supplemented perfectly with a quote from Heiner Geißler, who said that “the celebrity of some contemporaries is related to the stupidity of their admirers”. When you look at who is currently trudging through our entertainment landscape, you can sometimes only shake your head. People who have done nothing in their lives other than getting drunk on a TV format or embarrassing themselves publicly have hundreds of thousands of followers on their social channels.

Then it is better to focus on the real stars, who of course do not always make a name for themselves with positive headlines. Way up front in our weekly celebrity recap this time: Justin Timberlake. A former stylist claims that the world-famous “Nipplegate” at the Super Bowl appearance in 2004 with Janet Jackson did not happen accidentally, but was purely on purpose. The New York Post reports that Timberlake wanted to top the famous kiss between Britney Spears and Madonna at the MTV Video Awards. The fact that the megastar bared Jackson’s bosom has an impact on the show industry in the States to this day. For example, live broadcasts are broadcast with a few seconds’ delay to be on the safe side, and since then, at major events such as the Super Bowl, stars have had to certify in writing that they are not showing any nudity.
Farewell to the “grandfather of a whole nation”
One of the people who has made a lot of negative headlines, especially in the past few months, is Prince Andrew. Due to the abuse scandal surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, the Royal came under increasing pressure. The son of the Queen and the recently deceased Prince Philip became a persona non grata. In the course of the funeral, which RTL will be watching live from 12 noon this Saturday, he said that Great Britain was mourning the “grandfather of an entire nation.” They are words of sadness, words of a son for his father. Many people ask whether these words have the power to rehabilitate the prince’s reputation. A fool who mixes words of sadness, the sincerity of which no one doubts, with an abuse scandal that has killed many young women.
But the loss of a loved one can also lead to previously raptured families finding each other again. A royal family is no different from the Schmidts and the Müller family. It is said that the signs point to harmony in the Windsor house. Prince Harry and his brother Prince William are said to have spoken on the phone and spoken out. At the funeral, however, they will walk a safe distance from one another.
Network attacks on Uschi, scandal under palm trees
The week went less well for actress Uschi Glas. It advertised vaccination in a campaign and has since been repeatedly attacked on the web by conspiracy theorists and lateral thinkers. Glas is shocked that people even call her a “murderer”. The campaign itself would repeat it at any time, she says, thus sending a clear signal for common sense. And for not being intimidated by hate news.
“Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann is one of the people who is currently in the public eye. On the one hand through his current participation in “Let’s Dance”, where he inspires an audience of millions every week, on the other hand through his fight against homophobia and rigid, outdated thought structures in our society. Puschmann, who dances with a man for the first time in the history of “Let’s Dance”, commented this week on the outing of the US “Bachelor” of 2019, Colton Underwood. For a long time he would rather die than openly say that he is homosexual and he lived with the lie that he loved women. There are still many queer people who don’t dare to live openly in same-sex love. This is due, among other things, to types like Prince Markus von Anhalt, who caused a scandal with his homophobic statements this week and regards homosexuals as “disgusting”.
When love bears fruit
At least briefly one was shocked by the latest pictures of Brad Pitt. Angelina Jolie’s beau and ex is pushed around in a wheelchair. The actor’s upper body almost seems slumped. But the all-clear can be given quickly. Pitt had his wisdom teeth pulled and the wheelchair is just a mandatory precaution in hospitals in the United States.
Speaking of Pitt: Again and again, his other ex-wife Jennifer Aniston had to put up with the question of when the offspring would finally be ready or why she still had no children. Most recently, rumors circulated that the actress would adopt a child from a Mexican orphanage – a little girl. The 52-year-old is tired of the constant baby speculation and denies the rumors: “That never happened. The story is fictitious,” she says through her spokesman.
But the best news comes at the end. Super dancer Massimo Sinató became a father for the first time. His wife, the model Rebecca Mir, gave birth to a boy. The new parents write about the birth: “Our little miracle” (…) and “When the love of two people bears fruit.”
