VIP vaccine: Government denounces misappropriation from the president of the CLC board of directors | National

The Government, through the Undersecretariat for Crime Prevention (SPD), together with the Undersecretariat of Public Health, filed a complaint with the East Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of misappropriation, after it was known that the president of the board of the Clínica Las Counts, Alejandro Gilwill force a nurse to inoculate him with a third dose of the covid-19 vaccine.

According to information revealed by the SPD, the events in which Gil was involved would constitute the aforementioned crime, since it is associated with attempts to obtain impunity in the delivery of a fraudulent certificate.

“The dose supposedly appropriate by Mr. Gil was in the possession of the Las Condes Clinic, solely because it had been given to him in administration by the health authority with the obligation that said health establishment, will supply it strictly in the form and conditions that the authority indicatesand, ”says the complaint.

Read the complaint:

The judicial presentation adds “once Gil had improperly appropriated a dose of the Pfizer-Biontec vaccine, which is destined by the health authority to be supplied to children and adolescents living in Chile, Gil would have carried out actions aimed at ensuring impunity for his actions consisting of presenting a medical certificate dated July 5, 2021, two days after he had demanded the inoculation of the third dose “.

In said document, it is said in the complaint, “he justified his action in the medical indication of the inoculation and others fired the official Carla Garrido Ortiz that complying with the requirements imposed by the health authority, reported the event of programming error by means of a form to the Metropolitan Health Seremi ”.

From now on, the regional prosecutor Manuel Guerra must designate a criminal prosecutor to process this investigation.

Within the first steps, there will be, by the way, the interrogation of the executive, who is married to the businesswoman Cecilia Karlezi, controller of the clinic.

Anything else

In addition to the SPD complaint, Gil faces a lawsuit in court for the alleged illicit $ 60 million misappropriation, filed by the former head of the Critical Patient Unit (UPC) of the CLC, Tomás Regueira.

In the libel released by this means, the doctor explained that he was in charge of carrying out a clinical study of the pharmaceutical company Glaxosmithkline in health facilities and that the fees associated with this function were not paid, despite the fact that the British pharmacist paid the clinic for the entire study.

And that’s not all. The Seremi de Salud de la Región Metropolitana initiated a health summary against the health institution for the application of the third dose to the employer.
