Violating Solar Distribution, Pertamina Temporarily Closes 91 Gas Stations

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Sub Holding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina (Persero), Pertamina Patra Niaga took action against 91 distribution agencies or gas stations throughout Indonesia. Actions are taken regarding the distribution of subsidized solar that is not in accordance with the established regulations.

Acting. Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero), Irto Ginting said that this action is proof of Pertamina’s commitment to maintain the government’s mandate in distributing subsidized diesel in a targeted manner.

“The reasons for the action are various, including the distribution of subsidized diesel that is not in accordance with the regulation of Presidential Regulation 191/2014, filling of subsidized diesel with jerry cans without a recommendation letter, filling modified vehicles, irregularities in recording/administration, and serving filling or transactions above 200 liters. Sanctions are given for ensure the distribution of subsidized fuel goes well,” said Irto in a written statement, Saturday (16/10/2021).

The gas stations that were acted upon were 8 North Sumatra regional gas stations, 12 South Sumatra gas stations, 14 West Java gas stations, 26 Central Java gas stations, 6 East Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara gas stations, 12 Kalimantan gas stations, 6 Sulawesi gas stations, and 7 Maluku gas stations.

Irto added that the 91 gas stations that have been prosecuted are gas stations that have been proven to have violated until October 2021. He said that the actions he took were cessation of supply or temporary closure of gas stations and collection of the difference in the selling price of subsidized diesel according to its economic price.

“Pertamina will continue to monitor and coordinate with the authorities and all stakeholders in conducting field monitoring. We do not hesitate to give strict sanctions to rogue gas stations,” explained Irto.

Furthermore, to ensure distribution, Pertamina also monitors in real time information related to stock and processes through the digitization system at the Pertamina Integrated Command Center (PICC). People who have information and see indications of misappropriation of the distribution of subsidized Solar can also directly report it to the competent authorities and to the Pertamina Call Center (PCC) 135.

“We really appreciate the support from the community, the media, and all stakeholders. This is a good form of synergy, and together we can realize the distribution of Solar Subsidy that is right on target,” concluded Irto.
